CityFibre dismisses BT infrastructure spend announcement

Thursday 5 May 2016 | 15:29 CET | News
UK fibre infrastructure provider CityFibre has responded to BT's new infrastructure investment announcement. CityFibre CEO Greg Mesch said that the announcement was simply the reluctant response of a sluggish incumbent to increasing regulatory scrutiny. He added that the announcement was largely related to the continued deployment of outmoded technology, and that the UK will only see innovation and better services through the growth of alternative operators and the stimulation of a truly competitive infrastructure market.
