CityFibre sees first Glasgow connections ready in early 2017

Tuesday 23 August 2016 | 08:39 CET | News
CityFibre has confirmed plans to roll out its fibre broadband service in Glasgow, in cooperation with Scottish ISP HighNet. Based in Inverness, HighNet has invested GBP 250,000 in developing its new base at The Beacon in Glasgow to bring the fast internet to surrounding businesses, schools, hospitals and public sector services. CityFibre said it will make a "multi-million-pound" investment in 40km of fibre, and the first connections are expected to go live in early 2017.
