CityFibre signs new service provider contracts

Wednesday 11 May 2016 | 10:39 CET | News
UK fibre infrastructure provider CityFibre has signed new service provider contracts on the Milton Keynes and Northampton metro networks, acquired as part of the KCOM asset acquisition in January 2016. These contracts have a combined initial value of GBP 7 million. They are with Northampton-based business communications provider DBfB and Bradford-based Exa Networks, specialist in connectivity provision to both the education and business sectors. Under the six-year contracts, DBfB and Exa will provide connectivity to 500 businesses and schools across Milton Keynes and Northampton.

They probably won’t make anything as other suppliers are now offering Gigabit service a lot cheaper.
John Rotton @ 12/5/2016 - 23:06

£7.0m new business is a hypothetical figure and not guaranteed. Just like Southend, it won’t be feasible for CityFibre to provide its own ‘Alternative Network’ on a Shoestring Budget and will have to rely on using BT’s ducts and poles. More revenue for BT.
