Citymesh loses appeal over new 3.5 GHz local licences

Wednesday 31 October 2018 | 18:20 CET | News
The company provides Wi-Fi access for the public of event halls, holiday parks and marinas, Wi-Fi zones in the city centre and for temporary events. In order to provide these Wi-Fi networks cheaply and with a flexible backhaul, Citymesh has 13 licenses since 2015 in the 3.5 GHz band, for 13 municipalities, including the cities of Antwerp, Brussels and Ghent, but also coastal towns like De Panne and Koksijde. The rights of use for the frequency block 3430-3450/3530-3550 MHz applied from 7 May 2015 for a period of 10 years.
