Claro Brasil Q1 revenue up 1.5% to BRL 8.9 billion

Claro Brasil ended the first quarter of 2019 with a 1.5 percent annual increase in net revenue to BRL 8.9 billion. Mobile services revenue grew 8.4 percent over the same period in 2018, reaching BRL 2.9 billion, with an increase of 3.2 percent in active lines. Revenues from fixed services reached BRL 5.6 billion, down 1.6 percent, despite growth in residential broadband, which grew 14.9 percent year-on-year. Long distance and pay-TV revenues dropped 20.6 percent and 6.3 percent, respectively. EBITDA increased 16.6 percent to BRL 3.4 billion, with an EBITDA margin of 37 percent (+4.9%).
