Claro Brasil, through the Instituto Claro Embratel, has recycled 142 tons of electronics materials collected with its Claro Recicla recycling programme. Active since March 2008, the project has already gathered thousands of electronic items, including more than 116,000 mobile phones that were out of use.

Customers of the Claro Clube loyalty postpaid programme can deposit obsolete or out-of-use mobile phones, rechargeable batteries, chips and accessories at collection points, which can be found at several Claro stores across Brazil and earn up to 1,000 points to exchange for products.
