Claro launches Peruvian LTE-A service

Claro (America Movil) has announced the launch of an LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) service in Peru. The network is initially available in around 160 localities in Lima, Arequipa, Cusco, Piura, Lambayeque, La Libertad, Ancash, Ica and Huanuco, with owners of LTE-A compatible handsets able to download data at speeds of up to 300Mbps, said the operator.
