Claro, Nokia team up for Colombian 5G trial

Claro Colombia (America Movil) and Nokia have announced an agreement to cooperate in the development of 5G technology and conducted the first real time lab tests. The trial was carried out on Claro's network after the country's ICT ministry Mintic granted a permit to use the 28 GHz band, with the companies hitting download speeds of up to 10 Gbps. Demonstrations of virtual reality and robotic systems were also carried out on the network set up for the trial.
