Claro sheds 460,000 connections in Nicaragua

Wednesday 17 July 2019 | 15:54 CET | News
Mobile operator Claro disconnected 406,000 subscribers in Nicaragua in the second quarter, due to the difficult economic and political conditions in the country, the company said. As a result, America Movil reported its total base in Central America down 3.9 percent year-on-year to 15.5 million mobile customers. Fixed RGUs rose 12 percent over the year to nearly 7 million, led by an 18.9 percent increase in broadband connections.
