CNMC to consider sanctions against Telefonica for violating DTS acquisition conditions

The Spanish regulator CNMC has opened a procedure against Telefonica for overcharging wholesale customers for its premium TV channels. This may have violated the conditions of its takeover of DTS in 2015, which required Telefonica to offer the premium content to other operators.
