Cofetel sets interconnection rate for Telcel, Iusacell

Mexican telecoms regulator Cofetel has ruled on a dispute over interconnection rates between Telcel, and the Televisa group companies Operbes, Bestphone, Cablevision and Telcel; between Nextel and Telcel; as well as between Nextel and Iusacell. The watchdog set the interconnection rate in the Telcel and Iusacell networks at MXN 0.39 per minute. The tariff is valid for the period between 1 January and 31 December 2011.
