Cogeco, Xplornet receive public funds to expand high-speed broadband coverage in Outaouais

Cogeco and Xplornet have been awarded funds worth CAD 81.3 million as part of the Canada–Quebec Operation High Speed investment programme, to extend high-speed broadband coverage to an additional 18,200 households in the Outaouais region by September 2022. Xplornet will receive CAD 57.5 million in a project that will cost a total of CAD 85.5 million, bringing faster connectivity to 15,310 homes. Cogeco will reach the remaining 2,890 premises, with a state support of CAD 23.8 million out of an overall budget of CAD 26.5 million.
