Colombia activates 6 new public Wi-Fi zones in Bogota

Friday 22 June 2018 | 11:46 CET | News
Colombia's ICT ministry Mintic has announced the opening of 6 new free public Wi-Fi zones in Bogota. Each hotspot covers an area of around 7,800 square meters and provides free internet access to at least 200 simultaneous users. Over 5 million users throughout the country have connected to the hotspots since the Vive Digital plan was launched, said Mintic, adding that a total of 1,547 have now been activated, far above its 1,000 target for the end of 2018.
