Colombia formally withdraws unified communications regulator project

The Colombian government has proceeded to formally withdraw a bill presented by ICT ministry Mintic to create a unified regulator for the country's communications industry, reports local news site Prensario Internacional. The vice minister of the digital economy Juanita Rodriguez was responsible for withdrawing the bill after disagreements with senators regarding public TV funding, said the report.
