Monday 9 March 2020 | 14:24 CET | News
Colombia's Communications Regulatory Commission (CRC) has issued a decree ordering operators to process number portability requests in less than 24 hours compared to the current maximum time of 3 days, starting on 01 July. Number portability was first implemented in Colombia back in 2011 and has seen a total of 22 million customers retaining their number when switching operator, including 4.3 million in 2019 alone.
