Com Hem trials smartwatch app for TV remote control

Tuesday 5 January 2016 | 11:36 CET | News
Swedish fixed line operator Com Hem said it has developed a trial application for smartwatches, giving users control of their television from their Apple or Android watch. The app turns the smartwatch into a remote control, enabling viewers to pause a TV show or switch channels. In the beta version of the app, developed for the TiVo platform, viewers can browse between channels, see programme information and use the watch as a remote control. In the Android version, the viewer can also select a channel through voice command.
