Comcast buys sports data specialist OneTwoSee

Monday 7 March 2016 | 11:22 CET | News
US cable operator Comcast has acquired sports technology and data company OneTwoSee, based in its own home town of Philadelphia, for an undisclosed amount. OneTwoSee will be integrated into Comcast's broader sports technology team. OneTwoSee has worked with Comcast to reengineer the X1 sports app into an "interactive and immersive companion experience" after the app's initial launch as a way for sports fans to check scores, rankings and schedules. Comcast says usage of the sports app is up fivefold compared to the winter of 2015 and is used by a quarter of X1 homes weekly.
