Comcast claims first with 24/7 home security recording

US cable operator Comcast has launched its 24/7 video recording cloud- and motion-based video monitoring service for Xfinity Home customers. Comcast claims a US first for offering a continuous video recording services for residential premises. Comcast's system allows users to review past footage for up to 10 days on the Xfinity Home app or a computer. It ilso integrates advanced video analytics to reduce false motion events such as falling leaves or lighting changes.

Time Warner Cable has been offering 24/7 playback on their Intelligent Home Security since, June of 2015, at least here in the Carolinas
