Comcast hires Amazon video head to lead IP video engineering

Comcast has hired the former Amazon executive Euan McLeod as VP of IP video engineering. McLeod will lead its VIPER unit ('Video IP Engineering and Research') from the company's Denver offices. McLeod will guide Comcast's migration to IP-based video delivery across all devices and platforms, the company said. McLeod's previously was Global head of Video for Amazon, leading strategy and development for a range of projects and initiatives, including Amazon Video, Amazon Prime and Amazon Music.
