Committee recommends govt taking over Zamtel's debt and seeking equity partner

Monday 29 July 2019 | 11:15 CET | News

The debt was acquired to implement the GRZ project for universal accessibility. The lawmakers also recommended that the government should consider seeking a strategic equity partner for Zamtel that could offer financing to liquidate the other legacy debt, in exchange for equity.
