Compuserve launched its service in France on 15 December 1995. The service is accessible via the Transpac network, offering transmission rates of 14.4 Kbit/sec. A version of the service offering transmission rates of 28.8 Kbit/sec is expected to be launched at end-December 1995 in the Ile-de-France region of France. The faster version is expected to be extended to the remainder of France by April 1996.
