Comstar to acquire regional cable operator in Novosibirsk

Russian operator Comstar has applied to the national antiminopoly regulator FAS for clearance of its proposed acquisition of 100 percent of regional cable operator CityHomeNet. The regional operator provides broadband and cable-TV services in Novosibirsk, reports RBC Daily. The company has a broadband subscriber base of 35,000 and around 61,000 cable-TV subscribers. The deal is worth an estimated USD 23 million.
