Comtech awarded contract for emergency network in Washington

Comtech Telecommunications announced that its Commercial Solutions segment was awarded a five-year contract with a potential value of approximately USD 45.0 million to provide a statewide 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) Emergency Service IP Network (ESInet) in Washington State. Comtech will install and manage a state-wide enterprise system based upon NENA NG9-1-1 compliant elements that include geo-spatial call routing and advanced reporting capabilities. Comtech designed a platform for NG9-1-1 call delivery with both in-state and out-of-state data centres to ensure continuous operability via geo-redundancy.
