Comtech Telecommunications awarded USD 1.5 mln contract for new Ka-band Gateway TWTAs

Comtech Telecommunications announced that its Comtech Xicom Technology subsidiary was awarded a contract valued at more than USD 1.5 million for 500W Ka-band traveling wave tube amplifiers (TWTAs) for a Tracking, Telemetry, and Command (TT&C) application. These amplifiers will ship later in 2020 and will be deployed globally by a major satellite service provider for a new Ka-band network. Comtech Xicom Technology manufactures a wide variety of tube-based and solid-state power amplifiers for military and commercial satellite uplink applications.
