Congo's mobile connections grow 4.3% to reach 4.94 mln in Q3

Congo's mobile market reached 4.94 million connections in September, up 4.3 percent year-on-year, according to telecom regulator Arpce. Mobile penetration rose to 102.0 percent from 98.5 percent in June, as prepaid subscribers (representing 99.4% of the overall market) increased by 204,000 in the quarter, after declining slightly in the first half of the year.
