Connected TV device sales reach record 109 mln in Q4

Wednesday 10 March 2021 | 11:46 CET | News
Connected TV device sales reached a new record of 109.1 million units in the fourth quarter, up from 91.5 million in the previous quarter and 100.3 million the year before, according to the latest study from Strategy Analytics. The quarter put 2020 sales at 305.3 million units, an increase of 7.6 percent year-on-year, as people looked more to big screen entertainment amid covid-19-related lockdowns. More growth is expected this year as TV viewers continue to migrate towards internet-based video platforms and away from traditional broadcast and pay-TV services.
