Consolidated debuts Cloud Peer Connect, for direct, private access to cloud providers

US operator Consolidated Communications has introduced Cloud Peer Connect, a system aimed at giving business customers direct and private access to major cloud providers including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud and Oracle FastConnect. The company explained that Cloud Peer Connect has dedicated connections and diverse routes, meaning cloud traffic does not compete with less critical web traffic. The system provides greater security as dedicated cloud traffic does not travel over the public internet.
