Construction begins on SEA-US cable system

Construction has begun on the USD 250 million SEA-US cable system, set to bring 20 Tbps capacity for South East Asia and the US. The consortium is made up of Telekomunikasi Indonesia International (Telin), Globe Telecom, RAM Telecom International (RTI), Hawaiian Telcom, Teleguam Holdings (GTA), GTI Corporation (a member of the Globe Telecom group of companies) and Telkom USA. Other countries, such as Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Papua New Guinea, and Australia, will also be able to benefit of the SEA-US.
