Consumers association questions Anatel on 4G internet

Tuesday 30 April 2013 | 15:52 CET | News
Suspicions that consumers who purchase 4G mobile internet may be being misled led to the Brazilian Consumer Defense Association (Proteste) questioning the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) on the new service offered by operators in Brazil. The organization delivered a letter to the regulator questioning the speeds and prices of the new services and whether consumers will be able to achieve the download speeds advertised. Proteste is also concerned that devices currently used for the 2.5 GHz range cannot be used also for the 700 MHz band, scheduled to be auctioned next year.
