Coop abandons Siroop e-commerce site shortly after Swisscom's withdrawal

The Siroop online marketplace jointly run Swisscom and the Coop was insufficiently profitable and generated estimated annual costs of CHF 50 million, reported Handelszeitung. Swisscom had already pulled out of the joint venture and now the Coop has announced that it is discontinuing the project.
