Copaco to invest USD 15 mln to implement new IMS

Paraguayan state-run telecoms operator Copaco plans to invest USD 15 million to implement a new IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), Ultima Hora writes, citing the operator's director Carlos Morel. The new IMS will enable the company to migrate its fixed subscribers to a new VoIP platform, according to the report. The new system will also enable Copaco to add nearly 40,000 new residential lines.
