Cornwall fibre broadband network passes 206,000 premises

BT has confirmed that the new fibre broadband network in Cornwall has now passed 206,000 homes and businesses, equal to 82 percent of the county. New independent research from Serio Plymouth University and Buckman Associates shows that the network is already providing a major economic boost to SMEs in the region. The study found that after 12 months, 83 percent of SMEs were saving time and money through the faster speeds and innovative services that fibre broadband enables. The Superfast Cornwall project is on-track to get fibre broadband to 95 percent (originally 80 per cent) of the region,
