Costa Rica agrees new rural fibre rollout

Costa Rica's Rural Development Institute (Inder) has reached an agreement with local cooperative Coopelesca to bring fibre broadband services to over 5,000 inhabitants of remote northern localities, reports local daily La Republica. Under the deal, the institute will contribute CRC 371 million to the rollout, with Coopelesca funding the remaining CRC 159 million.
