Cotel offering a year of free cable TV to piracy whistleblowers

Bolivia's Cooperativa de Telecomunicaciones La Paz Limitada, which operates the cable TV service Cotel TV, has announced that anyone reporting clandestine or pirate connections will be given a free pay-TV package for a year. In an interview with local daily La Razon, the company's general manager Fernando Dips said around 250,000 illegal operations have been identified. "We are launching this measure in despair and offering a free annual subscription to those who inform us of clandestine connections," said Dips, adding that whistleblowers will be offered a cable TV plan with a range of HD
