Court orders Facebook to disable 'find-a-friend' function

The German Federal Court of Justice has ruled that Facebook's "find-a-friend" function, which sends invite emails to persons who are not registered on the social network, is illegal, labeling it an unacceptable and intrusive form of advertising. The court, which also oversees competition law, said Facebook is obliged to disable the function in Germany.
