Cox told to pay USD 25 mln in illegal downloading suit

Cox has been told to pay USD 25 million for copyright infringement in a dispute with music publisher BMG Rights Management, Reuters reported. The jury decision, reached after a two-week trial, could have a broader impact on how ISPs conduct their business as BMG pursued the unusual strategy of taking them on instead of the alleged copyright infringers themselves.
