Croatia postpones DVB-T2 switchover for 6 months

Friday 27 March 2020 | 10:13 CET | News
The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (Hakom) postponed the deadline for the termination of television transmission in the DVB-T/MPEG-2 system due to measures to prevent the coronavirus epidemic. As a result, the complete transition to the new DVB-T2/HEVC system will be delayed by at least six months, i.e. by the end of November or the beginning of December 2020. At the same time, the regulator's council has amended all necessary licenses for the usage of radio spectrum for terrestrial TV under the same conditions.
