CSR launches chipset for connected car applications

UK wireless chip technology company CSR has launched the CSRC9300, an auto-grade chipset combining Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v4.0 connectivity with audio capacities. The product will enable car manufacturers to deliver connected car applications, such as Miracast over 5Ghz, and keyless entry using Bluetooth v4.0. The CSRC9300 enables enhanced 5Ghz Wi-Fi connectivity with the 802.11a standard. The chipset contains Bluetooth v4.0 support which enables data transfer for applications. In addition, the chipset incorporates audio offloading capacities such as on-chip support for wideband speech codec
