CTI Africa to set up phone assembly plant in Uganda

Tuesday 6 November 2018 | 17:34 CET | News
CTI Africa will set up a phone assembly plant in Uganda in 2019 to target the African market, reports the EastAfrican. The company's trading arm LifeMobile said it would invest USD 10 million into the venture, which will be supervised by Uganda's National Enterprise Corporation. State Minister for Investment and Privatisation Evelyn Anite said the project is part of the government's plan to reduce the number of mobile phone imports and save the country foreign exchange.
