CTU disagrees with draft amendment of telecommunications act

Czech regulator CTU has announced that the draft amendment to the act on electronic communications significantly limits the rights of customers and is not in line with the EU directive. Its main objection is that consumers have limited ways to act in a situation where an operator unilaterally changes a contract. Currently, when contract conditions change, the operator has four obligations towards the customer, including informing the customer of the change and allowing the customer to cancel the contract.
