Czech regulator CTU has called upon O2 Czech Republic and Vodafone Czech Republic to reduce their wholesale prices for data services to allow a margin to equally efficient virtual operators. That was one of the conditions of the LTE licence. The first request by the regulator in February 2016 was respected only by T-Mobile Czech Republic. The other two operators did not reduce their wholesale prices sufficiently and CTU imposed a penalty of CZK 2 million on them. If they do not respect CTU's demand, the regulator may initiate a proceeding to withdraw their LTE licences.
