Cuba opens five more public Wi-Fi zones in Havana

Cuba's state-owned telecommunications operator Etecsa has installed five more public Wi-Fi zones in Havana, allowing 50 to 100 users to connect at a speed of 1 Mbps per user for USD 2 per hour. The hotspots were installed in various parts of the Plaza de la Revolucion area of the Cuban capital, reports Cuba Debate. There are now 200 public Wi-Fi zones all over the country and a total of 5.3 million one-hour cards were sold in 2016.
