CWC FY revenues up 4% to USD 1.8 bln, first growth in 5 yrs

Cable & Wireless Communications (CWC) reported revenues up 4 percent to USD 1.75 billion for the year ending 31 March. The company said the result represented its first top-line revenue growth since it demerged from the former Cable & Wireless in 2010, as it reaped the benefits of the USD 1 billion 'Project Marlin' overhaul of its networks. EBITDA increased by 7 percent to USD 585 million, with operating profit before exceptional items also rising by 7 percentage points to USD 321 million. Net loss from continuing operations came in at USD 33 million, a substantial improvement on the USD 130
