CWC to offer prepay subscribers free access to Wikipedia

Monday 16 November 2015 | 09:49 CET | News
Cable & Wireless Communications (CWC) and the Wikimedia Foundation, the non-profit organisation that operates Wikipedia and its sister projects, announced a partnership to offer free access to Wikipedia to all of C&W's prepaid mobile subscribers in the Caribbean. CWC said customers' Wikipedia searches will be completely free, meaning there will be no additional cost for surfing the site regardless of how much time is spent browsing. In addition, the Wikipedia app will come pre-loaded on all new Android devices and will also be available to postpaid customers in the near future.
