Cyan revenues lower, loss widens in Q2

Cyan reported revenue for the second quarter above its prior guidance, at USD 24.0 million versus USD 31.7 million a year earlier. Its net loss widened to USD 14.7 million or USD 0.31 per share, compared to a net loss of USD 9.1 million or USD 0.33 per share in the same period last year. CEO Mark Floyd said the company was pleased with its execution this quarter and with the momentum it sees in the market. It will continue to focus on growing the base for its Blue Planet Platform. Cyan had USD 13.2 million cash at the end of June, down from 32.5 million six months earlier.
