Czech Radiokomunikace develops regional data centres, cloud services

Tuesday 14 November 2017 | 16:30 CET | News

Czech Radiokomunikace (CRA) announced the start in January 2018 of commercial operations at the regional data centre in Pardubice. This will be a private hall for the client Insurance Company of the Czech Saving Bank. CRA also has the first customers using a new private cloud service and is working on a hybrid cloud offering.

Other recent new clients include Alza.cz, Datart International, Insurance Company of the Czech Saving Bank, Web4U and Teleperformance CZ.

CRA already operates regional data centres in Brno and Zlin. The primary purpose of the data centres is to provide customers with a backup site for their own server rooms. But they can serve also as a primary site. The aim of CRA is to gradually build a regional data centre in each region.

In the area of cloud services, CRA has recently expanded its services with CRA Business Cloud Private. These services combine the benefits of the virtual cloud with pay-as-you-go billing and a fully private, dedicated cloud. The customer pays for the actual use of services and at the same time has a separate infrastructure with different settings and isolation levels, as in the case of a private environment. The first customer using the service is Teleperformance CZ.

CRA is also working on the hybrid cloud model, which will offer an effective combination of the customer's own infrastructure and CRA's Business Cloud services.
