Czech Radiokomunikace says only 51% of firms test back-ups

Czech Radiokomunikace said 98 percent of Czech businesses back up their data, but only 51 percent test the back-up for recovery. According to a Business Continuity Management (BCM) survey conducted by Nielsen Admosphere, 14 percent of businesses said the critical time for operability of key IT systems is one hour. An outage lasting four hours or more is enough to cause significant damages to businesses, said 39 percent of firms responding to the survey.
