Dailymotion picks Opera TV Snap OTT platform

Norwegian mobile OS company Opera Software has launched Orange TV Snap, a next-generation TV app platform that transforms online video into connected TV apps at no cost and in less than a minute. Opera TV Snap's first partner is French-headquartered video portal Dailymotion, enabling it to reach large new audiences on Smart TV devices. Dailymotion has 115 million viewers worldwide in May, based on ComScore figures. Global smart TV production is forecast to reach 108 million units this year, plus hybrid STBs, streaming media players and Blu-ray players, according to Gartner.
