Daimler CEO announces plans to develop 'Windows for cars'

The CEO of German carmaker Daimler, Ola Kallenius, said in an interview with Handelsblatt that the company intends to develop software for cars. This software would be used for navigation, voice control, music and telephony but also for the entire vehicle, from the braking systems to control of airbags. Daimler wants to invest in electro-mobility and digitisation, and develop a new operating system, a "Windows for cars", as the CEO called it.
