Danish bill says website blocks need court ruling

Tuesday 13 June 2017 | 12:50 CET | News
Telia Denmark said it takes a positive view of the fact that parliament passed a revised bill on 09 June concerning tackling extremist content and terrorist propaganda on the internet. It said it is pleased that the Ministry of Justice and Parliament have listened to the operator's consultation response, among other input, taking into account the right to freedom of speech. The bill says websites can only be blocked following a court ruling, and ISPs must not block them on their own initiative.
